Many of you are probably wondering why this is here. When I read this for the first time the rationality of what I was reading hit me like a ton of bricks. I hope that this may be as eye opening for you as it was for me, especially the first line. The "information" is actually derived from reading the original translation, so I won't pontificate on or belabor what I think you might find. When people search for the truth for themselves it is amazing to see what surfaces from the hidden, mistranslated or altered.
This information was taken from an interesting and thought provoking site called 'The Nazarene Way'. I have only provided one of the many, original, translated versions from the original Aramaic that are available on the site. If you go to the site you can see the progression of the 'Lord's Prayer' as it metamorphosed through time, and you can hear it spoken its original language of Aramaic.
My understanding is that being a Witch involves the pursuit of wisdom . This is a piece you might like to have in your medicine bag.
The Prayer To Our Father (in the original Aramaic)
Abwûn "Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,
d'bwaschmâja who fills all realms of sound, light and vibration.
Nethkâdasch schmach May Your light be experienced in my utmost holiest.
Têtê malkuthach. Your Heavenly Domain approaches.
Nehwê tzevjânach aikâna d'bwaschmâja af b'arha. Let Your will come true - in the universe (all that vibrates) just as on earth (that is material and dense).
Hawvlân lachma d'sûnkanân jaomâna. Give us wisdom (understanding, assistance) for our daily need,
Waschboklân chaubên wachtahên aikâna daf chnân schwoken l'chaijabên. detach the fetters of faults that bind us, (karma) like we let go the guilt of others.
Wela tachlân l'nesjuna Let us not be lost in superficial things (materialism, common temptations),
ela patzân min bischa. but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose.
Metol dilachie malkutha wahaila wateschbuchta l'ahlâm almîn. From You comes the all-working will, the lively strength to act, the song that beautifies all and renews itself from age to age.
Amên. Sealed in trust, faith and truth. (I confirm with my entire being)
